The long-awaited LPS Journal No 242 featuring excellent research articles by Dr. V Doniela, Dr. V. Geyfman, A. Kapochunas and others is now in print. This multicolored issue includes a comprehensive study of volunteer Feldpost services of German voluntary border guards units (Grenzschutz) in post-WWI period Lithuania. This issue also provides a historical background of the largest known block of the 1935 Vaitkus overprint (Mi 404), and also features new discoveries of Darius and Girėnas covers with overprinted triangular stamps, and provides other interesting readings as well.
This 50-page issue of the LPS Journal will be mailing in just a couple of weeks. The Journal is distributed free of charge to society members and major libraries in Lithuania.
