Forgeries of these stamps (Scott C59, Michel 344) were made for packet trade. Both the originals and forgeries are lithographed but forgeries are more crudely re-produced. Letterpress printing (relief printing) technique was used for printing early Lithuania (Scott 1-8 & Michel 1-8). Genuine full sheets of 20 stamps (5×4) of the Vilnius First Issue (Sc 1-2) can be viewed here.
