Lithuania 1932 cover to Germany

A lovely cover sent from Kaunas to Emmerich on Rhine, franked with the Lithuanian Child Second issue stamp, 60 cents. These stamps were valid for postage only 7 days, between Dec 1, 1932 and Dec 8, 1932.

Lithuania 1933 Darius – Girenas transatlantic flight cover

A few days from now, on July 15th, we will be marking the 80th anniversary of the flight across the Atlantic by Stephen Darius and Stanley T. Girenas. The official flight committee issued cover No 387 carried aboard the tragic “Lituanica” flight from New York to Kaunas. Lituanica was an Bellanca CH-300 Pacemaker airplane flown by American-Lithuanian pilots
