Lithuania 1939 Panemunė (Übermemel)
A registered cover sent from Panemunė to Tilsit. Mixed franking, Lithuanian stamps overprinted “Memeland ist Frei”, use of makeshift “Übermemel” R 29 registration marking. Klein certificate.

Lithuania 1933 Darius – Girenas transatlantic flight cover
The cover was carried on the first transatlantic flight from New York to Kaunas by a Lithuanian-American aviators Steponas “Stephen” Darius (1896-1933) and Stasys “Stanley” Girenas (1894-1933). This is private issue cover signed by both pilots. There were 150 private issue covers sold by pilots to support the the “Lituanica” transatlantic flight. Recent sale price of $550 (Sep 2012).
