Lithuania 1919 postcard to the Netherlands

Lovely early postcard from Kaunas to The Hague, mixed franking. International postcard rate of 40 sk.

Lithuania 1920 right “5” red-green variety

5 A variety of the Second Anniversary of Independence Issue. Right numerical “5″ double, green and red. (Mi 75I). CV $145. Scarce as used. Kretinga postmark (26-II-1920).

Lithuania 1933 Darius-Girenas Overprinted Issue

An overprinted issue on 5 stamps of the Lithuanian Child 2nd Air Post issue for the benefit of the transatlantic flight. Only 500 issued.

Lithuania 1932 Zeppelin flown cover to South America

GRAF ZEPPELIN LZ 127 FLIGHT # 275, Sixth South America Flight 1932, 12 – 21. September 1932, From Kaunas, Lithuania to Pernambuco, Brazil, Kaunas, 28-Aug; Berlin transit postmark dated 29-Aug; Friedrichshafen postmark 12-Sep; Pernambuco 16-Sep. Zeppelins carried a great deal of mail, mostly because zeppelin flights were the fastest way to send mail across the ocean in their day. The zeppelin flown covers and other philatelic covers are prized by stamp collectors.

Lithuania 1918/19 Vilnius

Rare early cover franked with a 30 sk of the Second Vilnus issue, indistinguishable “Wilna” postmark, addressed to the German Imperial Post Office in Kaunas. Return to sender cachet (ZURÜCK ! Truppe ???).
