Lithuania 1921-1923 UBC-L perfin

A rare Lithuania perfin– The United Baltic Corporation Ltd perfin (UBC/L). The UBC/L was an international shipping company with offices in Lithuania (Kaunas), Latvia (Riga, Liepaja) and Estonia (Tallinn).

Lithuania Memelland 1922 KA perfin

A rare Memelland perfin – The Kreisausschuss perfin (KA). Used by the Kreisausschuss (District Executive Committee) of Heydekrug (Šilutė Municipality).

Lithuania 1935 Vaitkus Flight Cover Lituanica II

The 1935 flight cover No 830 carried on the second transatlantic flight from New York to Kaunas by a Lithuanian-American aviator Felix Waitkus (Feliksas Vaitkus). Cover is franked with Mi 404. Similar cover No 951 recently sold for 850€ at the Christoph Gärtner.

Lithuania 1920 rare variety Mi 75IU

A very rare variety – right numerical “5” double, green and red, and imperforate of the Second Anniversary of Independence Issue.

Lithuania 1933 Transatlantic Lituanica flight cover

A rare 1933 flight cover No 429 carried on the first transatlantic flight from New York to Kaunas by a Lithuanian-American aviators Steponas “Stephen” Darius (1896-1933) and Stasys “Stanley” Girenas (1894-1933)

    Lithuania 1920 rare variety Mi 75IU sold last week, but despite being a rare and beautiful variety, the description was incorrect to suggest that only 5 copies of this rarity could be in existance. There really are more than that…
