Design Ray Bartkus. Offset. Art paper. Stamp size 35.5 x 30 mm. Perf 13x13¼, sheet size 120 x 50 mm.
Edition: 25,000 each stamps. Printed by “Garsų pasaulis“ printing house in Lithuania (Vilnius).

Klaipėda was annexed to Lithuania in January of 1923; however, the seaport became part of Lithuania only after half a year on June 27.

Ray (Rimvydas) Bartkus is currently residing in New York. The artist worked as an illustrator in such publications as Wall Street Journal, Time, Newsweek, Harper’s, The Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Smart Money, and Business Weekly. His works were obtained by the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, Lithuania Art Museum, collectors from the USA, Canada, Lithuania, Germany, France and other countries. Ray Bartkus also designed the 50 litas banknote.

Along with the postage stamp, the first day cover and souvenir sheet are also to be issued.
