Several Lithuania items sold at the Auktionshaus Christoph Gärtner achieved many remarkable realizations.

One example is this rare 1919 cover to sent from Vilnius to Magdeburg franked with mixed Vilnius issues canceled by a purple provisional “Wilna” one-liner.

From a low estimate of 300€ it realized a very respectable 940€. Final price is 1,119€ ($1,424) including the buyer's premium of 19% reflecting it’s true value. (VAT will be added to the price for buyers from EU). At least 15 bidders participated in the bidding. Full prices realized and the entire auction may be viewed on the internet.

Another example is this 1935 flight cover No 951 carried on the second transatlantic flight from New York to Kaunas by a Lithuanian-American aviator Felix Waitkus (Feliksas Vaitkus). Cover franked with Mi 404 (Mikulski’s certificate) is addressed to pilot’s family in the US.
From an estimate of 600€ it realized a very respectable 850€. Final price is 1,011€ ($1,285) including the 19% buyer's premium. Similar cover No 943 is currently listed at the Behr Philatelie for 850€
